FAQ

Do you provide digital photos?

Yes. Typically I provide all edited photos from the session unless it is a mini session.

How long are sessions?

Usually a session with a family of 6 or less will last roughly 45 minutes to one hour. I am cognizant of short attention spans with younger children and do my best to capture meaningful images in a short amount of time.

What kind of gear do you use?

I use two Canon 6D's with a variety of prime lenses.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Absolutely not. If you'd like a guarantee of beautiful, quality prints you are welcome to use my lab, PRO DPI and I'll be glad to walk you through that. If not I have plenty of other recommendations.

How long have you been a photographer?

I've been photographing other people for about 8 years.

Do you only photograph families?

At this time I am only photographing families and sometimes engagements. I do not shoot weddings.

Do we need to come up with a location?

I have plenty of locations in mind in the surrounding areas of Draper, Salt Lake, Sandy and some in Utah County. If you prefer your own location I'm happy to discuss that as well.

What is your turnaround time?

I do my best to provide you your photos in about 2-3 weeks.

How often do you shoot film?

I don't typically use film for family shoots due to the slower nature of film photography. I love shooting film for more personal or artistic purposes.

Do you photoshop extensively?

I use photoshop only for minor blemishes or temporary marks, bruises, food bits...etc. Additional extensive photoshopping including weight management, removing braces, editing hairstyles, faceswapping.. etc. requires further payment.

Do you photograph same sex families?

Absolutely

Do you have a studio?

I do not have a studio but there are plenty of beautiful studios in Utah and Salt Lake County available for rent. Renting of studios is solely up to the client.

Do you give out ALL photos from the session?

Culling (process of deleting and removing photos that are unflattering, blurry, duplicates or otherwise unusable) is a huge part of the editing process and certainly the most time consuming. As such, to give you the best of the best, many photos are permanently deleted from the hard drives.

However you will receive plenty of beautiful, edited and high quality images to choose from.
